Really lovely museum, small and cosy but modern and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The exhibits were varied but all tied back to the Clitheroe area. More aimed at kids but still plenty to learn and enjoy for adults too.
Visited mid week. Nice museum with good interactive items for children. Worth a couple of hours. Disabled parking on site. And other parking in the town nearby. Nice cafe, clean toilets. The castle has quite steep paths, but worth the climb. Great views. The actual castle doesn't have much shelter, take a brolly. And a camera!
Great little museum built in the castle. Excellent display about the history of the town, from prehistory right through to twentieth century. Art gallery. Weird soundgardeny thing that the kids love. Good cafe, a bit thin on vegetarian options. Gardens worth a visit on a sunny day.
A great place to visit for local history. A good range of information to suit all ages and interests. Layout is dictated by old house building and limits size of displays .Worth a visit
