Great food as always. Went during the day midweek so was a bit quiet still good atmosphere and great staff
Ive visited here several time and each time the service has been great. The food is brilliant. My friend had braised steak in a paper corn sauce which was delicious. I had burger, chips, salad and coleslaw. Again very filling. This is a lovely place to stop if for lunch or an evening meal. A definitely must do.
Very enjoyable meal and really enjoyed sitting outside to eat. Loved walking around the beer garden afterwards.
I haven't been to this pub for several years and I was disappointed by the contrast to my last visit. The decor is very tired and the menu uninspiring - full of plain ''pub grub' options. I had the cheese and onion pie which was very stodgy and greasy. The emphasis seemed to be on quantity rather than quality for the meals that we had, although I am told that the gammon was very nice. The staff were friendly and efficient but I won't be in a hurry to return because of the food.
Never fails to be a great place to eat and drink, although do try and get a table in the large conservatory so you can take in the local view. Staff are wonderful. All sizes of meal available (have someone try the Worston Whale). Worth traveling to. Been there many times.
